Meads from Pasieka Jaros

Dwójniak “Jubileuszowy”

Dwójniak Jubileuszowy – 30th anniversary of Pasieka Jaros

30 years ago, on November 12, 1991, the company PPHU Pasieka Maciej Jaros obtained an entry in the register of companies in the Tomaszów Mazowiecki Commune Office. It is our tradition to create the „Jubileuszowy” mead for the anniversaries of our company. This year is no different. However, we approached the subject nostalgically. Both the bottle, the label and the content allude to our first mead in a ceramic bottle. I don’t know if you knew, but our first meads were aged in oak barrels. It took us almost thirty years to get back to the basics. The present „Jubileuszowy” mead was first aged a little over three years in a container and then we poured it into oak bourbon barrels for 6 months. Due to the fact that the mead itself was made of extremely aromatic bee honeys and then aged in barrels, it obtained an extraordinary depth of taste. The alcohol content is around 16%.

“Wiśniak” & “Czeremszak”

Cherry (Wiśniak) and Hackberry (Czeremszak) Mead - two meads from limited series. Each year we bottle as little as few dozens of liters of each kind. They are produced on the basis of fruit juices from hackberry and old varieties of cherries. We mix the juices with honey and ferment them. Thanks to this process, we obtain meads of exceptionally rich flavour and aroma. Alcohol content around 15%.

Bottled in ceramic 0,5l bottles.

Półtorak„Półtorak”

It is classic, yet not “genuine” mead. In order to slightly intensify the taste and to balance the extra sweetness, we added a dash of sour apple juice. The amount is so negligible that is in fact unnoticeable. It is made of spring multi-flower honeys. Bottled in stoneware clay bottles which enhances and refines its flavour. Alcohol content is around 16%.

Awarded with:

  • silver medal at the International Meadery Competition „Mazer Cup” in Boulder, U.S.A. 2021
